Bobbie I want to thank you for your comment. I found this while reading some others blogs. It means more to me than if I had read it two weeks ago. This past Saturday my husband and I attended a funeral for a couple who were killed when an 80 year old woman ran a stop sign. They were an older couple about my age. They had just married each other two years ago next month. When ever you ran into them they were always smiling. He had picked her up after she got off work and was headed home. They lost thier lives, thier future together because an older person had run the stop sign and all she could think of was where was her dog.
At the funeral home there were too many bikes to count. From the funeral home to the interstate was well planned out stopping people from coming through intersections. But once we got on the interstate there were no plans to provide for people who had no respect for funerals. My husband and I were cut off. My husband says it was not as close as it seemed because if we had been just a few inches closer he would have put his foot through the guys door. It was close enough it gave me a scare. He had to have seen us. He just wanted over.
To those who stopped out of respect for the couple we were laying to rest thank you.
