Does anyone know how football came about? My inside football does. A little bit of trivia that I interesting was that the Chicago Bears was once known as the Decatur Staleys.Now I am going to have to research what Staleys are. i bet my friend who is a big Chicago Bears fan does not know that bit of trivia. Or maybe he is smarter than I think he is. At first an inflatable ball was used and they crossed goal lines.  Football then actually came from the popular United Kingdom sport Rugby.
